The Postgraduate Programme “Surgical oncology of soft tissue skin and vascular malformations” was created in order to give an impetus to the advancement of scientific knowledge in a field in which nothing similar existed. It is aimed at health professionals who wish, on the one hand, to acquire a higher level of scientific training and on the other hand to obtain a modern graduate degree. This title, in the context of a competitive reality, is compared on equal terms with domestic and foreign equivalents.

The annual number of admissions to the Postgraduate Studies Programme “Surgical Oncology of Skin, Soft Tissue, Vascular Anomalies” is limited to a maximum of forty-five (45) postgraduate students. The minimum number of admitted students for the Programme to operate is fifteen (15) postgraduate students.
Holders of first-cycle degrees from local universities or similar institutions abroad, and in particular graduates of the Departments of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Psychology, are admitted to the Programme.
The Programme, following a decision of the School’s Assembly, announces positions with an open procedure for the admission of graduates. The announcement is published within the month of June each year on the website of the School and the Programme.

Applications accompanied by the necessary supporting documents are submitted to the Program Secretariat electronically, at https://enrollment.auth.gr.
The object and aim of the Program is the training of postgraduate students in the modern developments of the scientific field of Surgical Oncology of the Skin and Soft Tissues, as an integral main pillar of the wider field of Plastic Surgery, as well as in the related issues arising from interdisciplinarity, the interaction and application of the principles of the two above cognitive fields. The above purpose is fulfilled through the training of health professionals, in the field of Plastic Surgical Oncology of the Skin and the management of related issues by collaborating medical and nursing specialties.
In particular, this postgraduate program aims to:
The Program is credited with a total of 90 ECTS according to the European Credit System. It includes two semesters of full-time study, while in the third semester the master’s thesis is prepared. The Program includes four (4) compulsory courses in the 1st semester and five (5) compulsory courses in the 2nd semester. The total number of credits (ECTS) of the PMS is 90, with 1 ECTS unit corresponding to 25 hours of workload.
A total of four thousand euros (€4,000) in tuition fees are paid for studying in the Program. The amount of tuition fees and the method of payment can be adjusted by proposal of the Program Coordinating Committee, decision of the Assembly of the School of Medicine, recommendation of the Postgraduate Studies Committee and approval of the Senate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Tuition fees are paid in two equal installments, the first upon registration and the second before the start of the 2nd semester, to a bank account maintained by the Special Funds and Research Account (ELKE) of the A.U.Th. The delinquent payment of financial obligations constitutes a sufficient reason for not awarding the Diploma or for deletion from the Programme.
